It is larger than a typical sake cup but smaller than a teacup. It can also be used for Japanese sake, Chinese tea, and small amounts of sencha and roasted green tea. I use a small electric kiln and an electric potter's wheel at home to make my pottery, and I do all of the processes by hand, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing.
