Liu Xingqin’s 90th Anniversary Special Exhibition-Beret

The Hsinchu County Government attaches great importance to the inheritance and development of art and culture, and launched the "Inheritance and Return to Truth" Liu Xingqin 90 Special Exhibition, which displays Liu Xingqin's comics, sculptures, folk paintings and inventions throughout his life. Liu Xingqin is good at drawing materials from life, using the image of his mother and himself to create the comic characters of "Asan Brother and Auntie", becoming the first local comic in Taiwan. In 1968, Liu Xingqin drew "Robot" for teaching children to read. After being questioned by readers, he built the robot. He entered the field of invention and owned more than 140 patents at home and abroad. In his later years, he devoted himself to investigating unique technologies in Taiwan. He created more than 300 folk paintings with annotations on folklore and historical materials. Among them, a long scroll called "Taiwan Housewarming Scroll" is known as Taiwan's version of Along the River During the Qingming Festival. The Hsinchu County Cultural Foundation founded the cultural and creative brand "Riri Dang Hao" in 2011. It cooperates with artists and craftsmen to launch cultural and creative products rich in life aesthetics. This year, it launched [Beret] and [Fisherman Hat] in conjunction with the exhibition. Two styles pay tribute to Master Liu Xingqin.
