The ancestral hall of the Chen family in Yinchuan carved with dragon images and decorated with tiles is an outstanding example of prosperity and extravagance representing the glory days of the old town, Lukang. The patterns of tiles found in the hall depict Persian speedwells which are a symbol of health and shows that a newborn may be treated with gentleness in this world. This stunning and sapphire-like tile pattern, also the most commonly seen in Taiwan, is now resting in the building as a blessing of well-being for the family.
