Pages are made from whole sheets, and cut with a butter knife to get a soft torn edge, and bound together with waxed linen thread. 120g/m2 Eco conscious pH-Neutral paper made in Japan, It’s heavy enough that ink won't bleed through easily, suits many sorts of pens, pencils and other dry media. I made this book in the simple Coptic binding which allows the book to lie open completely flat for more comfortable writing and drawing. Perfect for use as a journal, sketchbook, or even a guestbook. This type of binding was first used by early Christians, the Copts, dating back to the 2nd century AD. It is the first known codex style binding. Very old way of making books. What's cool is that It still has been using nowadays.
