This bracelet is crafted by connecting old Tibetan turquoise, ancient quartz, an endless knot motif, old Chin silver, old Orissa brass, and grape-colored White Heart beads, among other elements.
The old Tibetan turquoise dates back approximately 100 to 200 years, perhaps even older. It was acquired directly from a collector who sourced it in Tibet. Turquoise is often referred to as a "Fallen Skystone" and has been revered as an amulet and sacred stone across various cultures since ancient times. In Tibet, it has even been used medicinally. It is one of the stones passed down and worn for millennia. This is natural turquoise, untreated with any coatings, boasting a captivating, deep, and mellow green hue.

The ancient quartz originates from Pakistan and is believed to be from the Roman era, approximately 1500 years ago. Ancient quartz is considered rare when it possesses high clarity. While there are inclusions, chips, and wear, these imperfections contribute to its profound character.

The endless knot is a motif from Tibetan Buddhism, symbolizing eternal connection. The metal shows attractive signs of age and wear, with a patina that speaks of time. Though not exceptionally ancient, its slightly worn texture lends it a distinctive atmosphere. The intricate, openwork design is a rare find, a dead-stock item that arrived from Tibet!

The purple and red beads are antique glass beads known as White Hearts. They are called so because of the white core visible when the bead is cut. These beads are from Venice, dating to the 19th-20th century. They feature a mix of colors, from grape-like hues to deep reds. While red White Hearts are common, this shade of purple is quite unusual!
The plump, urn-shaped silver beads are made of exceptionally rare old Chin silver, believed to be from the 18th-19th century and originating from Burma. These were traditionally worn by Chin women in necklaces and display a unique wear pattern and endearing marks. Their substantial weight and presence are incomparable to modern silver. These beads have seen a significant price increase in recent years.
The golden beads and the anchor-like charm next to the ancient agate are old Orissa brass from the Indian state of Orissa. The charm near the clasp is also old brass from India.
Each individual Karen silver bead is meticulously stamped! The thought of each being hand-engraved is truly awe-inspiring. The slightly curved clasp is also made of Karen silver.
◇ Karen Silver ◇
This silver is crafted by hill tribes living in the Chin State of Myanmar (formerly Burma). Each piece is handmade, and the silver is said to have a very high purity.
This bracelet showcases a harmonious blend of muted colors, with each material possessing its own unique character.
Connected by waxed thread, the bracelet is initially somewhat firm but will become supple with wear, stretching slightly by a few millimeters.
